Tavel, Travel and More Travel

Dec 15, 2004

December was a busy month. From Islamorada, FL. to Miami to New York City and finally San Francisco, the year is just now winding down. Kim and crew are working on Spring 2005 ads and apparel catalogs. Wrapping up the year Kim will work with Travel Smith with a week long assignment at the Moorings in Islamorada, FL in early . A quick trip to New York City for client meetings, scouting and a bit of shopping will complete a great year.

In September Kim and crew traveled to Cabo San Lucas for a "resort" assignment for Drapers & Damons. Holiday ads are pretty much finished and projects are lining up for Spring 2005.

July and August seem to be centered around San Francisco, Napa and Sonoma., CA. Four different projects are being shot in the area. At the southern end, Fioli Gardens in Woodside offers great sculptured gardens and a beautifully restored estate. At the northern end at the Culinary Institute of Art in St. Helena the Greystone Castle built by The Christian Brothers in 1889 is one of the icons of the Napa Valley. The area offers many great locations, services and of course amazing food. Mid month will be spent in the heart of San Francisco workiing on a holiday project with Coldwater Creek.

June began with an assignment for Coldwater Creek in the Topanga Canyon area of Malibu, CA. Two days of sketchy and cloudy weather broke loose on day three with a beautiful clear and fresh view of the canyon. A scouting trip north to Montana d'Oro Beach the second week of June will also lend itself to a few days of R & R with friends. The later part of the month will be busy with Travel Smith in either Napa/Sonoma or Quebec. Short but intense casting and scouting responsibilities for upcoming summer shoots will round out the month.

Spring assignments are falling into place. San Francisco, CA., Palm Springs, CA., Zihuatanejo and Ixtapa, MX., Tampa and Sanibel, FL. are now in the bag. A quick scouting trip to the Carribbean proved to be successful, with possible assignments in Trinidad or Curacao. The annual report season is also coming up fast and Kim will be working in Miami and the Everglades producing the 2003 Corporate Brochure for Florida Crystals as well as in the Tampa area for the Coldwater Creek Annual Report. In early April Kim and crew travels back to Banff, Alberta for the Fall catalog for Travelsmith Inc.

Pre-production has begun on the Fall shoot for Travelsmith in Banff, Alberta, CN. Kim's crew will be heading north through Calgary the second week of April to work at the Banff Springs Hotel and various ski resorts in the area.

Future trips this summer include Crete in the Greek Isles and Sorrento, Italy.
